For well over 100 years, farm families have joined together to promote New Hampshire's agriculture through this voluntary, non-governmental organization. NHFB is as relevant today as it was in 1916.
Providing a voice in the legislature, offering educational and leadership training opportunities, and keeping its members informed are all important roles Farm Bureau continues to play.
Educating people about what it takes to grow their food, fuel, and fiber has be come an important part of what Farm Bureau does.
Government regulators are struggling to keep up with swiftly changing agricultural innovation and often make regulations that require a lot of vigilance by Farm Bureau and other organizations. Many legislators do not have any first hand farming knowledge so they too need to be informed when they are trying to write legislation relative to farming and land ownership.
While the practices of farming have changed considerably the idea that NHFB farm families stand together to preserve New Hampshire's rural landscape has not.
With each county having its own Farm Bureau, you can get involved with your county's Farm Bureau community today. As a unified family of farmers, landowners, and businesses, New Hampshire Farm Bureau Federation has a rich history of advocating for the interests of agriculture in the state.
