 County Farm Bureau Scholarships:

Cheshire County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Cheshire County Farm Bureau is offering scholarship money to a Cheshire County resident who is pursuing a post high school education. The applicant or his/her family must be a member of Cheshire County Farm Bureau.  This scholarship is available to all students, youth or adult, attending post-secondary school.  Anyone can apply even if he/she has been the recipient of the scholarship award in the past. Coos County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Award(s) will be presented to residents of Coos County graduating from any of the county’s high schools who are furthering their education in agriculture at a two-year college, four-year college, or technical school. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement and interest in agriculture. Eligible applicant must have a declared agricultural major (such as agriculture, forestry, veterinary medicine, horticulture, diesel mechanics). Submissions are due no later than April 26, 2019. Grafton County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Scholarship(s) are awarded annually to a Grafton County resident(s). Students must have an agricultural background, be pursuing a career in an agricultural related industry, and establish a financial need. For application information, click here. Merrimack County Farm Bureau Scholarships

Rockingham County Farm Bureau Scholarship

This scholarship is available to members/residents of Rockingham County with preference given to members of Rockingham County Farm Bureau families. A selection committee will evaluate applications and select the student receiving the award. The winner will be contacted by RCFB President Phil Ferdinando. Application must be submitted to RCFB by April 12, 2019. Applications will be made available to all high schools in Rockingham County.


Strafford County Farm Bureau Scholarship

A scholarship/grant award program offers funding to small to medium sized projects designed to promote agricultural education, programs, and opportunities for youth. Awarded annually. For application information, click here or contact Strafford County Farm Bureau President Matt Scruton.

2019 Abbie  Sargent Memorial Scholarship Application
Applicants must be a resident of New Hampshire, a graduate of an approved public/private high school with average or better grades. Additionally, they must demonstrate acceptance of responsibility and financial need. Applicants must be a full or part-time student at an institute of higher learning. Preference will be given to those enrolled in an agriculture related study. Application must be submitted by April 15. Contact Diane Clary at 224-1934 for more information.


Farm Credit East – Scholarship Program
Each year, Farm Credit East awards scholarships to qualified students who are committed to a career in agriculture and have demonstrated exceptional achievement. They make their decisions based on your essay, experience, course of study and extracurricular activities. Candidates for the scholarship must have a permanent home address within the area served by Farm Credit East and plan to attend post high school education in the upcoming fall semester. Skrungloo Farm,Inc.-Student Scholarship
Skrungloo Farm, Inc. is a private foundation established in 1986, in order to provide direct aid, assistance, and/or services, to the residents of, in order of priority, Sandwich, Center Harbor, Moultonboro, Carroll County, Belknap County, and then the entire state of New Hampshire. This includes providing scholarships for individual residents to educate and better themselves in order to build a stronger community.  Applicants must be a legal resident of the US and reside in the state of New Hampshire. Jeffrey P. Smith Farm Scholarship
Does your child have interest in farms or gardening? Would he or she like to explore these interests this summer? The Jeffrey P. Smith Farm Scholarship endeavors to connect young people with agriculture and the natural world around them. Through this scholarship, the Monadnock Localvores hope to inspire the next generation of local farmers and local food supporters, by giving regional children an opportunity, through summer camp, after school programs, or membership to NOFA NH, to experience sustainable farming practices first-hand and watch their efforts bear fruit. International Harvester Collectors Chapter 18 Scholarships
The scholarship program is open to high school seniors and students who intend to further their education at a four year college, community college, or other similar institution. The scholarship award is for one year, and will be sent directly to the institution and will be used to pay educational expenses. There can be multiple winners in a given year. The scholarship is available for students who plan to pursue a career in an agricultural field (veterinary, agriculture, automotive/ engine work, etc.). Candidates do not have to be Chapter 18 members. For more information visit .


The National FFA Organization provides scholarships designed to fit the diversity of our applicants. Through the National FFA Foundation, businesses and individuals sponsor scholarships that are awarded to students with a wide variety of higher education plans and career goals. Just one application is required for multiple opportunities!

NH Beekeepers Association: George S Hamilton Scholarship Award
This year, the NH Beekeepers Association is proud to be awarding 2 (two) SCHOLARSHIPS of $1000.00 each. These scholarships – The George S. Hamilton Award- will be presented to the 2 students who are selected as winners of the scholarship contest. Students must be enrolled in a post-secondary school in the agricultural, biology, and/or honey bee related fields. This is open to all members of any NH bee club and their immediate family members (including past winners). The application & more information can be found here


Eastern States Exposition NH Corporators Scholarships
The New Hampshire Corporators of Eastern States Exposition, in West Springfield, Mass., are offering a $1,500 scholarship to current New Hampshire high school seniors who have been accepted to a school or college in fall, 2018. Selection will be based on involvement in the Eastern States Exposition, career goals and financial need. Interested youth need to apply using the official scholarship application form. The application may be obtained from any NH Big E Trustee. Completed application will consist of completed 3-page application plus your current high school transcript and a letter of recommendation. Growmark 2019 Scholarship
The GROWMARK Foundation will provide 15 $1500 scholarships to students pursuing agriculture-related degrees or certificates at colleges, universities, or technical schools in the United States and Ontario, Canada.

At the time of application, students must be high school seniors or the equivalent, or continuing students enrolled in good standing at a college, university, or technical school. Students who have previously received a GROWMARK Foundation scholarship are ineligible to apply again; however, previous applicants who did not receive an award may still apply as long as they meet the other requirements.

Stanley Grimes Conservation Scholarship
The Merrimack County Conservation District is offering a $1000 scholarship to residents of Merrimack County who are planning to attend a two or four year program in the fall, majoring in Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Horticulture, Wetland Science, Environmental Engineering, Soil Science, or other related Natural Resources programs. Applications are due by Friday, May 3, 2019. The scholarship money will be awarded to the student after s/he has competed his/her first semester. For full details, download the application here.
