The Associated Women of New Hampshire Farm Bureau began in 1923 as the Home and Community Welfare Work of NH Farm Bureau with Abbie Sargent of Hillsborough County as its chairwoman. Today, The Associated Women continue to stand on their own, contributing an essential perspective to the concerns of NH Farm Bureau and its members, stressing leadership training, educating the non-farm public, promoting education and civic involvement and providing social opportunities. You will find a diverse membership involved within the County Farm Bureaus, communities, schools and state and national organizations. Sometimes it is sitting on a national board and sometimes it is planting a seed of thought in a child’s mind.
